Since it is 2:30 AM and I have nothing better to do, I was wondering if anyone knew why the number 1982 keeps popping up in different levels of the original angry birds.

Don’t quote me on it, but it might be the birth year of one of the founders of the company that created Angry Birds… Rovio Entertainment Ltd.
I only say this as being theoretically feesible because that is how Joel Zimmerman (Deadmau5) came up with the song “1981″ which happens to be his birth year.
