How to Increase Global Market Reach and Exposure for Mobile Applications and Wireless Gaming

The way in which people communicate, spend their leisure time, shop and work have changed fundamentally with the proliferation of smartphones. Mobile applications (or simply apps) and wireless gaming are both growing industries as a result of the move towards smartphones. According to Googles Understanding the Mobile Consumer report, the US smartphone penetration has now reached 44 percent, up from just 31 percent in the first quarter of 2011. However, this accounts for just 34.3 percent of the global market- with Western Europe taking the lead in terms of market share.
According to Datamonitor, in France for example, the market grew by 13.1 percent last year and is expected to grow 50 percent to a value of $ 3.7 billion by 2016. France already accounts for 18.5 percent of the European market. Germany and the UK are also nations that love wireless gaming. These markets are set to grow by 10.5 percent and 7.4 percent between 2011 and 2016 respectively. By 2016, both of these markets will be worth around $ 4.3 billion.
These figures illustrate why mobile app and wireless gaming industries need to ensure that their products have global appeal and are localized and translated for use internationally. Translating and localizing the application and/or game, platform and the content are vital in reaching users in North America, Europe and beyond not only opens up huge potential for more downloads and sales, it also introduces opportunities for sponsorship deals and advertising on an international basis.

Angry Birds: Angry Birds Online Game from Rovio Mobile - Rovio Mobile, a Finland based company built the game called Angry birds. The Angry birds is a puzzle video game. The game was previously built for Apple’s iOS in December 2009. From the time of its release, the game was purchased with an increasing demand. There were around 12 million copies of the game that were sold from the Apple’s App Store. The game has been specially built for the touch screen smartphones which come with the Android operating system.
The plot of the game is simple as the pigs steal the eggs from the birds, and birds are supposed to destroy them. The player would use the slingshot to launch the birds at the stationed pigs. The pigs are stationed in various structures. As the player crosses each level, new birds with special features are included. The special features of the birds can be activated with the click or a tap on the screen.
Rovio Mobile came up with many updates of Angry birds that has added additional game content. The game has also been made a standalone product and there are promotional versions of the game available.
The Angry birds is also available for the Google Chrome. Folks can play the game online or else the game can also be downloaded as an offline mode. The advantage of the offline mode is that the game can also be played with no internet connection. The game has also got a flash version of it, which is available on the web.
